Citizenship

For the past twelve years, we have been proud co-recipients of the Citizenship Instruction and Naturalization Application Services (CINAS) grant program from the Department of Homeland Security. This grant has allowed us to partner with the New American Legal Clinic-San Joaquin College of Law and prepare immigrants for citizenship by offering both citizenship instruction and naturalization application services.  This grant makes it possible to provide free Citizenship courses and Naturalizations services at zero to low cost to our Fresno community.

Our Citizenship courses are offered quarterly beginning mid-August of every year. Please visit our school calendar for exact dates.

If you answer yes to all the following questions, you are eligible to apply for Naturalization:

  • Be 18 years old or older when they file Form N-400, Application for Naturalization;
  • Be a lawful permanent resident (have a “Green Card”)
  • Demonstrate continuous permanent residence in the United States for at least 5 years.
  • Have been physically present in the United States for 30 months. (In some cases)
  • Have lived for at least 3 months in the state or USCIS district where you claim residence.

Period 1: 8:30am – 10:20am
Period 2: 10:40am – 12:30pm
Period 3: 5:20pm – 8:20pm (M/W)

Tuesday/Thursday

Period 1: 8:30am – 11:30am
Period 4: 5:20pm – 8:20pm
