Thank you for your interest in Fresno Adult School’s Career & Technical Education Programs. Listed below are the steps you will need to follow to enroll in any of our CTE classes, at any location.

• Step 1
Report to Room 103 at the Chavez Campus during any of the days/times listed below. Choose one session to attend. You will be given the TABE test during this time.

CTE Enrollment/TABE Testing Sessions, Room 103 – Chavez Campus

Monday 8:30 am – 11:30 am, or 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm or 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Wednesday 8:30 am – 11:30 am
Friday 8:30 am – 11:30 am or 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

At the end of the Enrollment/TABE session, you will be scheduled for an E-Testing session that is convenient for you.

• Step 2
FAS policies will be reviewed during this session and you will take the CASAS test. You will need to let the staff know which CTE program you are interested in at this time.

E-Testing Sessions, Room 212 – Chavez Campus

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 8:30 am – 11:30 am, or
1:00 pm – 4:00 pm, or
5:00 pm – 8:00 pm

During this E-testing Session, you will be given a hard copy of their TABE scores. Please take your test scores with you to the CTE Orientation.

• Step 3
Attend the appropriate orientation, listed below, depending on your CTE class interest.
CTE Program Orientations, Room 110 - Chavez Campus
(These sessions will begin July 13. No Orientations week of July 6)

During these session, you will be provided with specific program overviews, pre-requisite info, TABE score requirements and there will be time for questions and answers. Mr. Chuck Seley will be the teacher of these orientations.

Medical Programs Orientation
(Medical Assistant – Admin & Clinical, EMT, Medical Manager/Insurance Billing, LVN.)
Mondays 2 pm – 5 pm or 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Business & Computers and Service Programs Orientation
(All computer/OA classes, Foodservice, Custodial, Security Officer.)
Tuesdays 2 pm – 5 pm or 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm
CNA Program Orientation
(CNA only.)
Wednesdays 2 pm – 5 pm or 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm
At the end of this session, you will be given the opportunity to schedule and appointment with the CTE program counselor, Ms. Pang Vangi.

• Step 4
You will then meet with Ms. Vangyi, one-on-one, to discuss your test TABE scores and class information. If space is available, Ms. Vangyi will give you’re your class schedule. Please bring your TABE test scores to this appointment.
